First Hill – January 26, 2022 – The Grayslone Club, a health care appreciation initiative started by Daniels Real Estate and Graystone Condominiums located on First Hill, has made a come-back to show support for First Hill medical workers during this third peak of COVID.
The initiative was started in the winter of 2020 to demonstrate that “buildings should be good neighbors.” A quote from the famed Seattle architect Paul Thiry, whose office was once at the corner of 8th Avenue and Columbia, the site of Graystone Condominiums and soon a new waterfall parklet.
In 2020, the Grayslone Club purchased gift certificates from local First Hill businesses to support those merchants and then distributed the gift certificates to First Hill health care professionals working with COVID patients. The campaign even included gift certificates from Vitos for a warm meal to be hand delivered.
In the Spring of 2021, Daniels Real Estate was getting ready to open the Lodge at St. Edward Park and launched a campaign for First Hill health care workers to be the first to stay in the historic lodge for a free night, dinner, and breakfast. It was to be the finale event of the Grayslone Club.
Now, the Grayslone Club is making a comeback and repeating what we all hope is the finale of a long slog for our medical professionals. Please visit Grayslone Club’s come-back shows support during final push and nominate a peer or health care professional whom you think is deserving of a relaxing night at the Lodge. It’s time to show our support again and provide a little relaxation for those who are doing so much to take care of our community.
